Each year, BWXT Medical submits a comprehensive Annual Compliance Report (ACR) to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) for its Kanata facility. The purpose of the ACR is to demonstrate that BWXT Medical has successfully met the requirements of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and its Class IB Nuclear Substance Processing Facility Operating Licence. The ACR is used by the CNSC to assist in the development of its Regulatory Oversight Report on the performance of Canada’s uranium and nuclear substance processing facilities. Additionally, a public meeting is held to review the Regulatory Oversight Report’s findings at the end of the year. The 2023 ACR is available here.
